The Atina Summer Festival is the signature summer event that enlivens the village of Ponte Melfa in Atina, located in the heart of the Comino Valley, in the province of Frosinone. Originally conceived as a summer celebration for the local community of southern Lazio, the event has quickly established a distinct identity, blending three core elements into one program: sport, music, and the region's finest culinary traditions.
The festival places a strong emphasis on physical activity, hosting a dedicated "Sports Night" within the green spaces of the Ponte Melfa river park. Throughout the event, a variety of disciplines are organized to engage children, teenagers, and adults alike:
As the sun sets, the festival shifts gears: the evenings come alive with live music, DJ sets, and dancing. A highlight is the highly anticipated Caribbean Night, featuring dance instructors from Lazio, Molise, and Campania who guide the public through interactive Latin dance lessons, accompanied by cocktails and tastings.
Local cuisine is an integral part of the celebration. Food stalls offer traditional products from the Comino Valley, an authentic corner of Lazio tucked away in the mountains, where rural traditions and conviviality remain at the heart of the experience.
Organized in Atina, a town in the province of Frosinone, the Atina Summer Festival has quickly become one of the most popular summer events in the Comino Valley, attracting families, athletes, and music lovers from across the region.
The Atina Summer Festival is set to return in the summer of 2026 to Ponte Melfa, a district of Atina, in the province of Frosinone. At the moment, the organizers have not yet announced the official dates or the schedule for the edition; information will be updated as soon as it becomes available.
The activities take place in Ponte Melfa, a district of Atina (province of Frosinone, Lazio), within the river park area.
Atina can be reached by car via the A1 motorway (Cassino or Pontecorvo–Castrocielo exits) and the Sora–Cassino highway. The nearest train station is in Cassino, which is served by regional and long-distance trains.
The event is community-focused, and access to the evening festivities is generally free; some sporting activities may require registration.
