The summer dance festival hosted by the Aldino sports association on the Regglberg plateau
The ASC Aldein Fest und Tanz is a dance festival held every summer by the ASC Aldein (Allgemeiner Sportclub Aldein), the local sports association that brings together athletes, families, and enthusiasts in the small municipality of Aldino/Aldein, in the Bassa Atesina (Unterland) region of the Bolzano province, Trentino-Alto Adige. It is one of those quintessential events that define summer in South Tyrolean mountain villages: a festive evening where the whole community gathers for music, good food, and dancing.
Aldino sits at an altitude of approximately 1,229 meters on the Regglberg plateau, a landscape defined by meadows, mixed forests, and scattered farmsteads. The village is famous for the nearby Bletterbach Gorge, a canyon roughly 400 meters deep that is part of the GEOPARC Bletterbach, a site of immense geological value nestled within the Dolomites. In this mountain setting, the ASC festival becomes an opportunity to experience the genuine hospitality of the local community.
The heart of the event is the live music, with traditional South Tyrolean bands keeping the dance floor lively until late in the evening, alternating between Volksmusik, Schlager, and festive rhythms. The evening is designed to get people of all ages dancing and having fun in the cheerful, informal atmosphere typical of South Tyrolean association festivals (Vereinsfest).
Like any self-respecting South Tyrolean village festival, there is no shortage of food stalls offering local specialties, beer, and drinks, all managed by the association's volunteers. It is the perfect occasion to taste the flavors of the Bassa Atesina in a convivial setting while supporting the activities of the ASC Aldein.
The ASC Aldein Fest und Tanz is much more than just a dance party: it is a moment of gathering that strengthens the bond between the residents of Aldino/Aldein and highlights the role of the sports association in village life. An authentic event, far from the main tourist flows, that allows you to discover the truest and most welcoming side of South Tyrolean mountain villages.
The 2026 edition of the ASC Aldein Fest und Tanz will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 7:30 PM, in Aldino/Aldein, in the province of Bolzano. For musical entertainment, the participation of the band Tiroler Herz is confirmed, a South Tyrolean group specialized in Volksmusik, Schlager, and party music, which will accompany the dance evening. As per the tradition of ASC Aldein festivals, the event will offer food stalls with local specialties, beer, and drinks. The detailed program for the evening will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.

Aldino/Aldein (Postal Code 39040), Regglberg plateau, Bolzano province, Trentino-Alto Adige. The festival is typically held at the village sports center (Sportzentrum Aldein).
By car from Bolzano, reach Aldino via the mountain road climbing up from Ora/Auer (A22 highway exit Ora), through the hairpin bends of the Regglberg. A private car is recommended: public transport connections to the plateau villages are limited, especially in the evening.
As this is a summer evening at altitude, it is wise to bring layered clothing for the cool evening temperatures. For updated dates and times, it is advisable to check the official channels of the Municipality of Aldino and local associations.
