Three days of gourmet street food on the Arona lakefront
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In Arona, an elegant town in the Province of Novara overlooking Lake Maggiore, the second weekend of June has long been synonymous with street food. The Arona Street Food festival, part of the traveling Urban & Lake Street Food Festival circuit, brings three days of life to the Lungolago Caduti di Nassirya and Largo Alpini, two of the most scenic spots in the town center, framed by the lake and the Rocca fortress.
The heart of the event is its next-generation food trucks: not just simple stalls, but carefully curated, full-fledged restaurants on wheels offering gourmet cuisine with creative and refined dishes. The selection ranges from Italian regional specialties to international flavors, covering both sweet and savory options, with plenty of choices for those seeking vegetarian alternatives. Admission is free and the event runs continuously, allowing you to browse the stalls for lunch, snacks, or dinner.
The food is complemented by a packed schedule of side events: DJ sets and live music, performances by street artists, and games and workshops for children, making the festival perfect for the whole family. It is an event designed to enjoy the lakefront in a convivial atmosphere, perfect for a stroll along the shores of Lake Maggiore.
The most anticipated moment is the Silent Disco, the massive quiet party that marks the unofficial start of summer each night: three channels, three DJs, and three different musical genres, with hundreds of glowing headphones lighting up the Arona lakefront. Everyone chooses their own channel and dances to the beat in the silence of the night, creating one of the most evocative scenes of the entire festival.
Organized by the Pro Loco Arona Tourist Association, the Arona Street Food festival has become a consolidated fixture of the local summer calendar, drawing thousands of visitors from Piedmont, nearby Lombardy, and the many tourists visiting Lake Maggiore. A simple and winning formula that blends fine dining, music, and the beauty of the Arona lakefront.
