About Arezzo Dance Hub

Arezzo Dance Hub is the major new summer event that, from July 8th to 19th, 2026, turns the historic center of Arezzo into an open-air stage entirely dedicated to dance. Born from the experience of the international InDanza&InArte campus, now in its fourteenth year, the project weaves together high-level training, street dance contests in Piazza Grande, museum performances, and a final gala at the Fortezza Medicea, featuring internationally renowned teachers and performers. An event that puts young dancers and the cultural identity of the Tuscan city at the center stage.

Arezzo, the capital of dance

For twelve days, from July 8th to 19th, 2026, Arezzo becomes a vast, city-wide stage entirely dedicated to dance. Arezzo Dance Hub is the new umbrella event that brings together the renowned international InDanza&InArte campus—now in its fourteenth edition—alongside a rich series of events open to the city. The project, conceived and organized by the Progetti Per La Danza cultural association, was a winner of the 2026 Youth Grant Competition from the Municipality of Arezzo, recognized for its ability to combine art, education, local promotion, and inclusion.

High-level training

The core of the festival remains its educational focus. For one week, the InDanza&InArte campus brings over a hundred students from all over Italy to Arezzo, where they attend classes held by world-famous instructors in various dance styles, from classical to contemporary, urban, and hip hop. Lessons take place in multiple venues throughout the historic center, turning the entire city into one large, diffuse dance studio.

Enriching the program are the «Vestire la danza» (Dressing Dance) workshops, scheduled from July 8th to 10th, dedicated to stage design and theatrical costumes, featuring practical sessions alongside theoretical seminars on the history of dance and urban cultures as a social tool. Meanwhile, the CAB – Collettivo Arezzo Ballet project offers professional guidance, audition simulations, and career paths designed for young dancers entering the professional world.

The grand finale between Piazza Grande and the Fortress

The final weekend, from July 17th to 19th, brings dance into the heart of Arezzo. Piazza Grande hosts the «The other side of art» contest, featuring street dance and hip hop battles between local and national crews, while city museums host performances that create a unique dialogue between dance and works of art. A high-level training session is also scheduled at the Teatro Petrarca.

The concluding moment is the «La danza delle emozioni» (The Dance of Emotions) gala, scheduled for July 19th in the evocative setting of the Fortezza Medicea: an evening that brings together young talents and established professionals, including Arezzo-born dancers Mattia Longhitano, from the Musikalische Komödie in Leipzig, and Elena Bidini, from the corps de ballet of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

A growing tradition

Arezzo Dance Hub inherits and expands upon the legacy of the InDanza&InArte campus, one of Italy's longest-running dance training programs, transforming it into a true city festival. Set in the heart of the Arezzo province in Tuscany, the event confirms the city's vocation as a reference point for youth dance, capable of attracting national and international interest.

Arezzo Dance Hub — edition 2026

The first edition of Arezzo Dance Hub takes place from July 8th to 19th, 2026, transforming the historic center into a city-wide stage. The inaugural edition of Arezzo Dance Hub spans twelve days, from July 8th to 19th, 2026, and brings together training, contests, and public events under one banner, as a winner of the 2026 Youth Grant Competition from the Municipality of Arezzo.
