Ardea Jazz is the festival that brings world-class jazz every summer to the heart of Ardea, a town in the Province of Rome overlooking the Lazio coast. The event, promoted by the Ardeafilarmonica Association and chaired by Patrizia Andreoli, has quickly established itself as a key appointment for genre enthusiasts throughout the Lazio region, with the patronage of the Lazio Region and the Municipality of Ardea.

Two venues that tell the story of the territory

The festival's strength lies in its unique locations. Concerts are held in the gardens of the Giacomo Manzù Museum, dedicated to one of the greatest Italian sculptors of the 20th century, and in the fascinating Casarinaccio archaeological site, a testament to the ancient city of Ardea, one of the most remote in Lazio. Music, art, and archaeology merge into an experience that goes far beyond a simple concert.

A program featuring big names and young talent

Over the years, Ardea Jazz has hosted over 150 of the most important artists on the national and international jazz scene, alternating between established stars and rising promises. Alongside the evening concerts, the program offers:

• Late-night jam sessions, the "After Festival Jam," which enliven the night with improvisations and unique collaborations;
• Guided tours of the Museo Manzù gardens and cultural walks through the historic center and the archaeological site;
• Meetings and in-depth discussions, ranging from presentations of historical research on the area to clinics dedicated to lutherie;
• Thematic projects and tributes to the greats of music.

A free festival open to all

One of the hallmarks of Ardea Jazz is free admission to all events: a deliberate choice to make musical culture accessible to a wide audience and to promote the artistic and archaeological heritage of Ardea. The collaboration with the Lazio Regional Museum Directorate also allows for extraordinary openings of these cultural sites during the festival.
