A festival spread across the clubs of Vaiano
Arci in Festa is the summer series promoted by the Associazione Arci Prato APS, bringing culture, music, and conviviality to the clubs of Vaiano, the heart of the Bisenzio Valley in the Province of Prato, Tuscany. Rather than a single event concentrated in one square, it is a travelling festival that, evening after evening, lights up different Arci clubs in the area: from the hamlet of La Briglia to Sofignano, and from Schignano to the main town of Vaiano.
The spirit of the festival
The common thread of Arci in Festa is the community dimension: each evening focuses on a theme dear to the association movement: peace, legality, caring for others, and the regeneration of community spaces. The programme weaves together civil discussions and moments of pure entertainment, alternating theatrical performances, DJ sets, live concerts, book presentations, film screenings, guided walks, outdoor yoga, and the unmissable communal dinners prepared by club volunteers.

Culture and social commitment
Arci in Festa offers a cultural programme that looks to the local area: themes range from the history of Italian pacifist movements to the fight against the mafia, from care work to the promotion of fair-trade products. The communal dinners, often supporting charitable causes, are an integral part of the experience and reflect the cooperative and popular soul of the Arci clubs in Tuscany.
Free and open to all, the festival is an opportunity to experience the Bisenzio Valley in a convivial way, rediscovering the clubs as cultural and social hubs of the town.
Arci in Festa — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Arci in Festa brings the clubs of the Vaiano area to life for four evenings, from June 18 to 21, each dedicated to a different theme and hosted in an Arci club in the Bisenzio Valley. A journey that combines civic commitment, culture, and conviviality, with free admission to all events.

Thursday, June 18 — Circolo Arci Spola d'Oro, La Briglia
- 21:00 — Official opening with the Mayor of Vaiano, Francesca Vivarelli, the President of Arci Prato, Ilaria Testa, and the club President, Marco Rosati
- 21:15 — "Pace in Movimento" (Peace in Motion): presentation of the portal dedicated to the history of Italian pacifist movements, with Raffaella Bolini (National Arci) and guests from ANPI Vaiano, CDSE, and Emergency
Friday, June 19 — Circolo Arci Sofignano
- 19:00 — "Amuninni, storia d'amore e di mafia", a theatrical performance by Massimo Caponnetto on the anti-mafia struggle of the 80s
- 20:30 — Legality Dinner with products from the Fior di Corleone cooperative (€20, booking required)
- Presentation of "Pane, Lavoro e Dignità"
- 21:00 — DJ set with Leandro
Saturday, June 20 — Circolo Arci Schignano

- 19:00 — "Storie in Salsa Cocktail" with authors Stefania and Paola Ressa (curated by Revulva)
- 19:00 — "Note e Storie Aspettando il Tramonto", a guided walk with cellist Matilde Michelozzi (max 30 people, booking required)

Sunday, June 21 — Circolo Arci G. Rossi, Vaiano
- 17:00 — Round table on community regeneration and cultural animation
- 19:00 — "Caregiver Motherfucker", a dialogue with Lorenzo Clemente and Yuri Tuci

Location
The festival takes place in various Arci clubs in the Vaiano (PO) area, in the Bisenzio Valley: Circolo Spola d'Oro in La Briglia, Circolo di Sofignano, Circolo di Schignano, and Circolo G. Rossi in the main town.
How to get there
Vaiano can be reached from Prato in about 15 minutes by car along the SP325 road of the Bisenzio Valley. It is served by the Prato–Vernio–Bologna railway line (Vaiano station). By car, take the Prato Ovest exit from the A11 motorway.
