Springtime among the apple blossoms of the Noce Valleys, with experiences in Malé
Aprile Dolce Fiorire is the major spring festival that accompanies the apple blossom season every year between Val di Non and Val di Sole, in the heart of Trentino. For about three weeks, the villages, farmsteads, and wineries of the Noce Valleys come alive with dozens of widespread experiences: food and wine walks through orchards, tastings of wines and spirits, taste workshops, excursions to hermitages and sanctuaries, cooking classes, and guided tours. The central theme is the apple, the absolute symbol of this territory, which dresses itself in white and pink blossoms in spring.
The Municipality of Malé, the historical capital of Val di Sole in the province of Trento, participates in the festival with the spring opening of the Museo della Civiltà Solandra. The museum houses a rich permanent collection dedicated to the rural and artisanal traditions of the valley: agricultural tools, everyday objects, and testimonies of trades related to farming, woodworking, iron and copper work, cheesemaking, and weaving. Visiting it during Aprile Dolce Fiorire means completing the discovery of the apple blossoms with the story of the material culture that shaped these mountains.
The festival is promoted by the Strada della Mela e dei Sapori delle Valli di Non e di Sole (Apple and Flavors Route of the Non and Sole Valleys), in collaboration with local tourism boards. Every year, the calendar offers numerous events spread across many municipalities of the two valleys, with major attractions such as Fiorinda in Mollaro di Predaia, the 4 Ville in Fiore march, Maggio a Cles, and the Zicoria FestiVal di Sole in Rabbi.
Malé is the gateway to Val di Sole and an excellent starting point for experiencing Aprile Dolce Fiorire: from here, you can easily reach the blossoming orchards, the valley's trails, and the other locations of the festival. The combination of apple blossoms and the rediscovery of traditions at the Museo della Civiltà Solandra makes spring one of the most authentic times to discover this corner of Trentino.
The 2026 edition of Aprile Dolce Fiorire was held from April 10 to May 3 between Val di Non and Val di Sole, with more than fifty widespread experiences: walks among blossoming apple orchards, tastings in wineries and distilleries, foraging, dandelion masterclasses, e-bike tours, excursions, and workshops. Key events included Fiorinda in Mollaro di Predaia (April 11-12), the 4 Ville in Fiore march from Tassullo (April 19), the Zicoria FestiVal di Sole in Rabbi, and Maggio a Cles.
In Malé, the highlight was the spring reopening of the Museo della Civiltà Solandra, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, to rediscover the rural and artisanal traditions of Val di Sole.
Malé can be reached by car via the SS42 Tonale and Mendola state road. By train, it is served by the Trento-Malé-Mezzana railway (Trentino Trasporti), with a station in the village. The nearest airport is Verona Villafranca, about a two-hour drive away.
Spring opening: Wednesday afternoons (3:00 PM - 5:00 PM) and on long weekends/holidays with extended hours. Free admission for members of the Centro Studi per la Val di Sole, reduced with the Trentino Guest Card and Val di Sole Guest Card.
