Music, nature, and dialogue at 1,151 meters in the village of Musrai
Among the many scattered events of Apolide Drops, the stop in Musrai—a tiny hamlet in the municipality of Alpette in the Province of Turin—is one of the most evocative. At an altitude of 1,151 meters, at the foot of the Canavese mountains, the festival transforms a secluded corner of Piedmont into a natural stage where music, nature, and anthropology meet for a single day.
Apolide Drops is the "satellite format" of the Apolide Festival, launched in 2022 and organized by the To Locals ETS association. Its philosophy is based on zero-impact culture, capable of inhabiting nature without consuming it. The project is divided into three pillars: Aria (high-altitude events), Terra (initiatives in villages), and Scena (theatre as a space for civic debate). The Musrai stop fully belongs to the "Aria" soul of the festival, bringing artists and the public to breathe in the mountain air.
The day is more than just a concert; it is a slow and immersive experience. It begins in the morning with Forest Bathing, the Japanese practice that invites you to reconnect with the woods, leading into the afternoon's main event with a prominent figure in Italian singer-songwriter music. Music is complemented by moments of reflection on the relationship between man, nature, and sound, alongside food and wine offerings curated by local Canavese producers.
Thanks to Apolide Drops, Alpette becomes a meeting point for music lovers, hikers, and the curious for a day. It is the perfect opportunity to discover a lesser-known corner of the Canavese, far from the main tourist circuits, while enjoying a cultural event that celebrates local communities and the alpine landscape of Piedmont.
The fifth edition of Apolide Drops brought a day entirely dedicated to the encounter between music and nature to Musrai, a hamlet in the municipality of Alpette. The protagonist was Maurizio Carucci, voice of Ex-Otago and long attentive to the relationship between culture and the environment, in a dialogue with Amedeo Berta of Strano Podcast. The day, free but with mandatory reservation, was sold out in the days leading up to the event.
Throughout the day, food and wine offerings were provided by the La Neve dell'Ammiraglio Association and the Giovani Vignaioli Canavesani.
The site was reachable by car until parking was full, followed by a short walk.
