A summer evening of aperitifs, music, and street food along the tree-lined avenue of Ancarano
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Aperoviale sotto i Tigli is a summer evening festival held in Ancarano, a small village of just under two thousand inhabitants in the province of Teramo, in the heart of the Val Vibrata, just a few kilometers from the border with the Marche region and Ascoli Piceno. For one night, Viale Madonna della Misericordia and the town center streets are closed to traffic, turning into a long open-air experiential path where tradition and conviviality meet under the linden trees that give the event its name.
The concept behind Aperoviale is simple yet successful: to enhance the tree-lined avenue with a moment of socializing and tastings, enlivened by live music and street performers. Along the path, visitors can find food stalls and street food offerings, featuring typical products from the Abruzzo region and involving local businesses, farms, and town associations.
The festival is organized by the Municipal Administration of Ancarano in collaboration with local stakeholders: merchants, farms, artists, musical groups, and local associations, with the support of the Municipal Police, Civil Protection volunteers, and the Croce Bianca of Sant'Egidio. The large turnout, with over 2,000 visitors at the 2025 edition, has confirmed Aperoviale as one of the most cherished events of the Ancarano summer.
Ancarano is an ancient village of Picene origin located on a hill south of the Tronto River, in a border position between Abruzzo and Marche. The town houses the 17th-century church of Madonna della Misericordia, with its characteristic octagonal plan, which gives its name to the avenue that hosts the event. Attending Aperoviale sotto i Tigli is also an opportunity to discover this quiet corner of the Val Vibrata and its warm hospitality.
The 2026 edition of Aperoviale sotto i Tigli in Ancarano does not yet have official dates. At the end of the 2025 edition, the mayor announced that the event would be renewed, but the Municipality of Ancarano has not yet published the 2026 calendar. The event is traditionally held in July along Viale Madonna della Misericordia. We recommend checking the dates and program on the official municipal channels before planning your visit.
The event takes place along Viale Madonna della Misericordia and the streets of the center of Ancarano (TE), in Abruzzo.
By car: Ancarano can be reached from the A14 motorway, taking the San Benedetto del Tronto or Val Vibrata exit, then continuing inland into the Val Vibrata. The nearest train stations are in San Benedetto del Tronto or Ascoli Piceno.
During the event, Viale Madonna della Misericordia and Piazza Roma are closed to vehicular traffic; it is recommended to follow the signage and instructions provided by the Municipal Police.
Participation is free and open to all.
