The major antiques and collectibles fair for the Ferragosto holiday in Martina Franca
For over twenty years, in the heart of the Ferragosto season, Martina Franca has hosted one of the most anticipated events for collectors, interior designers, and curious visitors from across Southern Italy. "Antiques in the Itria Valley" is considered the largest antiques and modern design fair in the South: an event that has become a fixed tradition in the summer of the "White City," located in the province of Taranto, in the heart of the Itria Valley.
The event, organized by the Arca Promoter Cultural Association, takes place in the spacious halls of the G. Marconi Institute on Piazza Marconi, just a short walk from the baroque historic center of Martina Franca. For the occasion, the school's classrooms and corridors are transformed into a labyrinth of stalls where visitors can wander among furniture, objects, and rarities from every era.
The selection is intentionally diverse, covering multiple generations of collecting. Among the exhibitors, arriving from all over Italy, you can discover:
It is the perfect opportunity for those looking for a unique piece to give as a gift or to collect, but also for those who simply want to immerse themselves in a journey through memory, filled with paintings, prints, vintage radios, toys from yesteryear, and modern design objects.
The exhibition is a staple in the summer calendar of Martina Franca, a city known for the baroque architecture of its churches and palaces and for the prestigious Itria Valley Festival. Strolling through the stalls in the evening hours, when the heat subsides and the city comes alive, has become one of the unmissable appointments of the Apulian Ferragosto, attracting visitors from across the province of Taranto and the nearby central Puglia region.
Admission is free of charge, making the event perfect for a family visit: you can come and go as you please, browse the stalls, and, why not, take home a souvenir of the Itria Valley.
For Ferragosto 2026, the Arca Promoter Cultural Association renews the appointment in Martina Franca with the 25th summer edition of the "Antiques in the Itria Valley" fair. The event occupies the spacious halls of the G. Marconi Institute on Piazza Marconi, where around 85 exhibitors set up their stalls with period furniture, modern design objects, designer vintage, vinyls, coins, and ceramics.
The formula that has made the event the largest exhibition of its kind in Southern Italy is confirmed: nine days of opening, with hours designed to enjoy the visit during the cooler evening hours. Admission is free of charge.
The 2026 summer edition opens on Saturday, August 8th and continues until Sunday, August 16th at the G. Marconi Institute, on Piazza Marconi.
Around 85 exhibitors from all over Italy. Free admission every day of the event.
