About Anacaprifamusica

Every summer, Anacaprifamusica transforms Villa Rosa, in the heart of Anacapri, into a refined stage for world-class music. Organized by the F.M. Napolitano Foundation, the festival blends piano recitals, classical repertoire, and jazz performances, hosting international artists in a unique natural setting among the island's gardens and terraces. It is a sophisticated yet accessible event that enriches the evenings of August and September on the island of Capri, in the province of Naples and the heart of Campania.

Anacaprifamusica: great music on the island of Capri

Anacaprifamusica is the concert series that brings some of the most acclaimed classical and jazz performers to Anacapri, in the province of Naples, every summer. Promoted by the F.M. Napolitano Foundation, the event has built a distinct identity over the years: offering high-quality music in charming locations where the island's landscape becomes an integral part of the listening experience. Now in its twenty-fifth year, it is one of the longest-running and most beloved musical events of the Capri summer season.

Villa Rosa, a stage among the gardens

The heart of the festival is Villa Rosa, on Via Axel Munthe, just a short walk from the famous Villa San Michele. In this setting of Mediterranean gardens and terraces overlooking the sea, the piano is the absolute protagonist: the evenings take place at sunset, when the light and silence of the island create an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Over the years, Anacaprifamusica has also enlivened other iconic locations in the town of Anacapri, from the Church of Santa Sofia to the Mario Cacace Gardens, confirming the deep bond between music and the village's heritage.

A program between classical and jazz

The common thread of the festival is the dialogue between classical tradition and the sounds of jazz and singer-songwriter music. Alongside piano recitals dedicated to great composers—from Bach and Beethoven to Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff—there is space for chamber ensembles, tributes to Italian music, and evenings ranging from Baroque to contemporary influences. The performers, often internationally acclaimed young talents, offer curated programs of great virtuosity, designed for a passionate audience that is always welcoming to newcomers.

The F.M. Napolitano Foundation

The festival is an expression of the work of the Franco Michele Napolitano Foundation, a Neapolitan cultural institution committed to spreading classical music and promoting young performers. The artistic direction, entrusted to pianist Maria Sbeglia, curates a program that extends throughout the year between Naples and the island of Capri, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Campania Region, and the Municipality of Anacapri.

Anacapri and the magic of the island

Attending an Anacaprifamusica concert also means experiencing Anacapri in its most authentic form: far from the glamour of the peak months, the upper village of the island offers silent alleys, breathtaking views, and a tranquility that perfectly matches the musical experience. The festival has thus become another reason to discover this corner of Campania, combining cultural tourism and great music in a setting that is hard to forget.

Anacaprifamusica — edition 2026

Anacaprifamusica returns to Villa Rosa in the summer of 2026 with a new edition dedicated to piano and chamber music. The F.M. Napolitano Foundation confirms the event between August and September in Anacapri, with outdoor evenings in the island's gardens. The festival is preceded by the 'Dal Barocco al Jazz' festival, scheduled from July 26 to 30 on the terrace of the Hotel Caesar Augustus.

Anacaprifamusica 2026

For the summer of 2026, the F.M. Napolitano Foundation renews the appointment with Anacaprifamusica at Villa Rosa, in Anacapri. The festival continues its tradition of piano recitals and chamber concerts overlooking the sea, under the artistic direction of pianist Maria Sbeglia. The evenings take place in August, extending traditionally into September, on an island of Capri experienced in its most intimate and cultural dimension.

The event confirms the Foundation's focus on talented young performers and a repertoire that weaves together great classical composers, the Baroque era, and jazz influences. Anacaprifamusica is preceded by the Dal Barocco al Jazz festival, hosted from July 26 to 30 on the terrace of the Hotel Caesar Augustus in Anacapri.
