The countryside celebrates in Ameglia

In the lower Val di Magra, where the river meets the Ligurian Sea, the Municipality of Ameglia (Province of La Spezia) dedicates a weekend at the end of May to the Country Festival, an event celebrating the agricultural culture and rural traditions of the area. The event, now in its third edition, takes place in the green area of via Manzoni, in località Cafaggio.

Local products, crafts, and dances

The program brings together farms, artisans, and food stands in a route dedicated to the flavors and knowledge of the land. There are also workshops, music, and folk dances, as well as activities for children, making the festival an occasion for people of all ages to meet. The food stands are also managed by the local Civil Protection.

A land between river and sea

Ameglia is a village that enjoys the dual charm of river and sea: the mouth of the Magra, the cultivated hills, and the proximity to the beaches of Fiumaretta and Bocca di Magra make it a place of great landscape variety. The Country Festival enhances the agricultural dimension of this area of Spezia, recalling the rural roots of a region now known primarily for seaside tourism.
