Four days of culture, territory, and identity in the heart of Basso Molise
Altri Confini – Giornate della Primavera Santacrocese is a cultural event held in Santa Croce di Magliano (province of Campobasso) in the last week of April, coinciding with the feast of the Madonna dell'Incoronata on the last Saturday of the month. The festival is conceived and organized by the association AltriSpazi, chaired by Giovanni Mucci.
The program is divided into thematic days that explore themes dear to the community of Santa Croce: agriculture and territory valorization, communication of traditions, urban art and murals, and the memory of local figures. Among the protagonists of past editions are administrators, university professors, journalists, and cultural operators, in an open dialogue between study, identity, and the future of the town.
The festival is closely linked to the recognition of the Green Agriculture Flag obtained by the territory and the rediscovery of the figure of the doctor-poet Raffaele Capriglione, with paths that enhance the open-air museum of murals and the places of local culture. Altri Confini has thus become an opportunity to tell the story of Basso Molise beyond its geographical and cultural borders, from which it takes its name.
The Santacrocese Spring Days 2026 featured four thematic events curated by the AltriSpazi association, in dialogue with the traditional feast of the Madonna dell'Incoronata. The event, which concluded with great participation, focused on the territory of Basso Molise, its peasant roots, and its cultural identity.
Santa Croce di Magliano is located in the province of Campobasso, in Basso Molise. By car, it can be reached from the A14 (Termoli exit) and the SS 87.
Meetings are generally free admission.
