The great summer night festival in the historic center of Salento
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Alezio White Night is one of the most anticipated summer events in the Municipality of Alezio, a small town in Salento in the province of Lecce, in the heart of Puglia. Born as a community celebration and growing rapidly edition after edition, the White Night brings over fifty attractions to the streets for a single night in July, distributed along a route that crosses the historic center and its main squares.
From the elementary school on Via Anaclerio to the Town Hall, passing through Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and Piazza Fiorito, the town lights up with light installations, music, and shows. The official opening, usually at 7:30 PM, is entrusted to the concert by students of the Alezio Comprehensive Institute, in an embrace that involves the entire citizenry. The dress code invites participants to dress in white, giving the evening a unique atmosphere of color and emotion.
Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II becomes the beating heart of the festival with musical performances ranging from the Salento tradition of Enzo Petrachi to more contemporary voices, such as Michele Cortese, and the retro sounds of Doctor Vintage. Street performers, circus acts, and light shows move along the streets, while the historic palaces of the center — Palazzo Pellegrino, Palazzo Coppola, and Palazzo Castriota — open their doors to contemporary art exhibitions.
An important part of the White Night is dedicated to families: in Piazza Fiorito, a true village for the little ones comes to life, with antique wooden games, giant soap bubble shows, balloon sculptures, creative workshops, sports activities, and free inflatables. A way to make the festival accessible and engaging for all ages.
There is no shortage of food and wine, with stalls featuring local products, street food, and Salento specialties that accompany visitors along the entire route. The event, organized by the Municipality of Alezio with the collaboration of merchants, associations, and volunteers, thus combines entertainment, culture, play, and good food in a single evening.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been officially announced by the organizers. The White Night is traditionally held in the month of July: as soon as the Municipality of Alezio releases the updated program, this page will be enriched with dates, line-up, and details of the new edition.
The Municipality of Alezio has not yet communicated the official dates for the 2026 White Night. Based on previous editions, the event is expected in July, with the usual formula consisting of over fifty free attractions throughout the historic center: live music, street performers, art exhibitions in historic palaces, a children's village, and food stalls. This page will be updated as soon as the program is made public.
