The gastronomic feast hosted by the Misericordia of Alanno in the Madonnella area
The Flavours Festival is one of the most deeply rooted gastronomic events in the summer calendar of Alanno, a hillside town in the province of Pescara, in Abruzzo. Conceived and carried forward over the years by the Misericordia of Alanno, the event takes place in the Madonnella area, transforming the space for a few evenings into a large celebration dedicated to taste and conviviality.
The heart of the festival lies in its food stalls, where you can taste typical dishes and local specialties of Abruzzese cuisine in a simple and genuine atmosphere. The menu features classics of the local rural and pastoral tradition, accompanied by local wines. The formula, perfected over numerous editions, focuses on the quality of local products and the warm hospitality typical of the small villages in the Pescara hinterland.
Beyond the food and wine, the Flavours Festival offers evenings of live music and entertainment, creating a festive atmosphere that engages families and visitors of all ages. The event is also a moment of community participation: as it is organized by the Misericordia, the festival combines a convivial dimension with the spirit of volunteering and solidarity, values that have always defined the association.
The festival is part of a rich summer programme that brings Alanno to life between June and September, featuring events such as the Palio delle Contrade, concerts, theatrical performances, and the historic Borgo in Sagra event. The Flavours Festival represents one of the most anticipated moments of this calendar, attracting visitors from the nearby towns of the Val Pescara and the Vestina area.
Attending the Flavours Festival means experiencing the hospitality of an Abruzzese village far from mass tourism circuits, amidst good food, tradition, and hilly landscapes. It is an ideal opportunity to savour the typical products of the Municipality of Alanno and get to know the gastronomic and human identity of this corner of the province of Pescara.
The 24th edition of the Flavours Festival is scheduled from 24 to 26 July 2026 in the Madonnella area, in Alanno (Pescara). The event, managed by the Misericordia of Alanno, offers three festive evenings with food stalls, typical Abruzzese specialties, and music.
The detailed programme of the evenings, including menus and entertainment, will be communicated by the organization in the weeks leading up to the event through the channels of the Misericordia and the Municipality of Alanno.
