Two days dedicated to the history of agricultural mechanization at the Fondazione Marazzato in Stroppiana
AgriMemorie is an event dedicated by the Fondazione Marazzato to the agricultural world and the history of its mechanization, from its early beginnings to modern times. The festival takes place at the Foundation's showroom in Stroppiana, located along the SP31 in the Monferrato region, right in the heart of the rice paddies in the province of Vercelli, Eastern Piedmont. Originally launched as the first Open House event entirely focused on vintage tractors, AgriMemorie combines exhibitions, educational outreach, and popular festivities into a single spring weekend.
The heart of the event is the exhibition of over one hundred agricultural vehicles from every era: steam traction engines, and tractors from brands like Case, Orsi, Fiat, Landini, John Deere, Ferguson, Deutz, and Porsche, all telling the story of over a century of agricultural mechanical evolution. Alongside these steel giants, visitors will find scale models, including steam and combustion-powered wooden and metal replicas, as well as thematic art and photography exhibitions.
The program alternates between cultural insights and live action. The mornings host conferences covering the history of 20th-century agricultural mechanics and a session dedicated to women in agriculture and female leadership. In the afternoon, the schedule features a literary meeting on agricultural themes and the Risotto Academy, which includes rice-husking demonstrations, workshops with a rice sommelier, and show-cooking sessions dedicated to risotto, the gastronomic symbol of the Vercelli rice fields.
AgriMemorie is much more than a machinery show: it is a journey into the rural civilization of Piedmont, exploring the memory of field labor, rice paddy traditions, and a passion for historic vehicles. The Fondazione Marazzato, guardian of one of Italy's most important collections of vintage vehicles, opens its gates in Stroppiana to welcome enthusiasts, families, and the curious in a festive atmosphere that celebrates the agricultural roots of the Vercelli territory.
The first edition of AgriMemorie took place on Saturday, March 21 (10:00 AM - 8:00 PM) and Sunday, March 22, 2026 (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM) at the Fondazione Marazzato showroom in Stroppiana, in the province of Vercelli, with approximately 2,000 visitors.
Over a hundred vintage tractors โ from steam traction engines to Fiat, Landini, Case, John Deere, Ferguson, Deutz, and Porsche models โ animated the exhibition. The mornings hosted conferences on the evolution of 20th-century agricultural mechanics and women in agriculture, while the afternoons were dedicated to the Risotto Academy and agricultural-themed literary meetings.
A highlight was the "Parade of Giants" tractor parade, with the first prize awarded to the Fiat 1300 DT Super owned by young Greta Monferrino. The event also featured plowing demonstrations, a ranch area, a food court, and a kids' area.
Throughout the weekend: exhibition of over 100 vintage tractors, scale models, art and photography exhibitions, plowing demonstrations by the Cavalli d'Acciaio association, ranch area with ponies and horses, food court, and kids' area.
The Fondazione Marazzato showroom is located in Stroppiana (VC), along the SP31 of Monferrato at km 11. By car, the most convenient motorway exit is Vercelli Est on the A26, then continue towards Stroppiana. Ample parking is available on-site.
