A celebration of harvest and rural traditions on the Etruscan Coast
The Agrifiera Riparbellina is much more than a simple summer fair: it is how Riparbella, a small hillside village in the province of Pisa, shares its farming identity. Overlooking the Etruscan Coast, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and forests, the event attracts thousands of visitors every year eager to rediscover the flavors, crafts, and traditions of rural Tuscany.
Born in the 1990s as a Cattle Fair, the event has gradually evolved into a comprehensive Agricultural and Old Crafts Fair, while keeping its deep connection to country culture intact. Today, it stands as one of the most heartfelt harvest festivals in the region, blending historical memory with popular conviviality.
The heart of the fair is the Il Giardino area, in the La Fagiolaia locality, where all exhibitions and stands are concentrated. Among the most iconic attractions are the ancient ox-drawn carts, restored according to farming tradition, the livestock and agricultural machinery displays, and the unmissable vintage tractor parades, which delight agricultural mechanics enthusiasts.
Gastronomy is one of the main reasons to head up to Riparbella. Every evening, and at lunch on Sunday, the stands offer the great classics of Tuscan peasant cuisine: from lasagne al ragù to zuppa alla riparbellina, from peasant-style tripe to sausage and beans, and grilled meats like RiparChianina and wild boar porchetta. Everything is paired with wines from local cellars, in an area renowned for high-quality enological production.
Included in the calendar of major summer festivals in the province of Pisa and the Tuscany Region, the Agrifiera Riparbellina combines the charm of an authentic village with the genuineness of a festival born from the work in the fields. It is the perfect occasion for an evening with family or friends, immersed in the atmosphere of a Tuscany far from mass tourism circuits.
The 2026 edition of the Agrifiera Riparbellina, the 33rd in its history, confirms the formula that has made this agricultural fair in the Pisan hinterland famous. For three days, Riparbella returns to celebrate the Tuscan countryside with livestock and machinery exhibitions, ancient ox-drawn carts, and vintage tractor parades.
The 3rd "Renzo Meini" Painting Competition is also confirmed, dedicated in 2026 to the theme "Among the colors and wonders of nature." Evenings continue with music, entertainment, and traditional local food stands.
The Agrifiera takes place over three days, from August 1st to 3rd, 2026, with the following schedule confirmed by recent editions:
