Agribike Faedis

Cycling through the flavors of the Eastern Hills

There is a special way to discover the countryside of Faedis, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli (Eastern Hills of Friuli) in the province of Udine: on a bicycle, stopping at each stage to taste the products of local farms. This is Agribike Faedis, the non-competitive cycling event that every June 2nd, Republic Day, enlivens the municipality with a tour through fields, vineyards, and wineries in the land of Castles and Refosco di Faedis.

A route made of taste

The route winds for about 20 kilometers – twelve on asphalt and eight on dirt roads – with gentle gradients between 110 and 208 meters, suitable for the whole family. But the real heart of Agribike lies in the gastronomic stops: along the way, you'll find farmhouses, wineries, and refreshment points where you can stop to taste local specialties, from frico to desserts, from the wines of the Colli Orientali to traditional Friulian dishes like tocjos.

Sport, nature, and community

More than a race, Agribike is a village festival on two wheels, designed to promote the local agriculture and environment in a convivial way. The collective start from Piazza I° Maggio and the grand final lottery, with bicycles and food and wine prizes, create an atmosphere of joy that involves families, enthusiasts, and curious visitors. Organized by the Agribike Faedis Committee and Pallavolo Faedis, with the patronage of the Municipality and the support of numerous local entities.

In the land of Refosco

Faedis is one of the areas dedicated to Refosco, an indigenous grape variety that finds one of its most characteristic expressions here. Participating in Agribike means immersing yourself in an agricultural landscape of hills, vineyards, and chestnut groves, experiencing the greenest season of the Colli Orientali del Friuli as protagonists.
