Great international blues amidst the stone dwellings of Rione Fossi, in the Monti Dauni mountains
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Accadia Blues Festival is one of the most distinctive musical events in the Daunian Subappennino. It takes place in Accadia, a small town in the province of Foggia, nestled in the heart of the Monti Dauni in Puglia. The festival has chosen the Rione Fossi as its natural stage—an ancient, abandoned rock-hewn quarter that provides a unique backdrop of stone, narrow alleys, and natural terraces overlooking the landscape.
Founded in 2010 through a collaboration between the Accadia municipal administration and the Moody Jazz Cafè, the festival has grown into an international blues landmark in Southern Italy. Over the years, the artistic direction has curated a high-quality program, bringing artists to the Daunian village who were often performing in this part of Italy for the first time. The intimate and "fluid" atmosphere allows the audience to enjoy direct contact with the musicians during and after the concerts.
Throughout its editions, Accadia Blues has hosted major names from the blues and singer-songwriter scene, including Charlie Musselwhite, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Angelo Branduardi, Tullio De Piscopo, and Alex Britti. Alongside the major evening concerts, the program highlights Mediterranean influences and new talent, with performances spread across multiple stages within the Rione Fossi.
The festival is designed as an immersive experience within the village. In addition to live music, the program typically features:
Attending the Accadia Blues is also an opportunity to discover one of the most evocative villages in the Monti Dauni. The Rione Fossi, with its rock architecture, and the nearby Sanctuary of the Madonna del Carmine on Monte Crispignano make Accadia a destination that perfectly combines music, nature, and tradition. The festival is free to attend and attracts blues enthusiasts and curious visitors from all over Puglia and neighboring regions every summer.
At the moment, the organizers have not yet announced the official dates or the program for the 2026 edition of the Accadia Blues Festival. Based on previous editions, the event usually takes place in the summer, with the main concerts held in the Rione Fossi of Accadia. This page will be updated as soon as the calendar and artists are published.
Accadia is located in the Monti Dauni, in the province of Foggia. By car, it can be reached via the A16 motorway (Candela exit) or the A14 towards Foggia, continuing along the provincial roads of the Daunian Subappennino. The most convenient train station is Foggia, from which you can continue by car or local bus connections.
Concerts at the Accadia Blues Festival are traditionally free of charge. The main performances are held in the Rione Fossi and in the squares of the historic center.
The Rione Fossi is a rock-hewn quarter with stone alleys and uneven terrain: comfortable shoes are recommended. For updated dates and the program, it is best to check the official channels of the festival and the Municipality of Accadia.
