Summer Begins in Trestina
In Trestina, a populous hamlet of Città di Castello, in the province of Perugia, Una Sana Festa Paesana is the event that opens the warm season. Spread over two weekends, it focuses on the desire to gather around good food, music, and village traditions.
Gastronomy
The heart of the festival is the food stall, renowned for its Florentine steak, Chianina burgers, local specialties, and regional wines. The stalls open every evening at 7:30 PM, in a convivial and family-friendly atmosphere.
Music and Fun
After dinner, the main stage hosts live bands dedicated to ballroom dancing and folk music, while at Gotta Park, the evening heats up with DJ sets and younger bands. There are also sports and games: five-a-side football and volleyball tournaments, themed briscola card competitions.
A Community Festival
Organized by the local committee and animated by the village's associations, Una Sana Festa Paesana is an example of an authentic Umbrian village festival, where the hamlet of Trestina comes together to inaugurate the Tifernate summer.
A Healthy Village Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Una Sana Festa Paesana takes place in Trestina over two weekends: June 26-28 and July 3-5, 2026. Every evening, food stalls open at 7:30 PM, featuring the unmissable Florentine steak and Chianina burgers; followed by live bands on the main stage and DJ sets at Gotta Park. There's also space for sports, with five-a-side football and volleyball tournaments, and card games with the briscola competition.
