A year marked by the moon

In Pioltello, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Martesana area, the A. Manzoni Municipal Library is launching an original review in 2026: 13 Lune. The idea is simple and evocative: thirteen monthly meetings, one for each full moon of the year, dedicated to the themes of science, nature, and sustainability.

Science, nature, and sustainability

The program spans different disciplines and languages. It ranges from space exploration — with the inaugural event dedicated to the Artemis mission and upcoming lunar missions — to natural cycles and the moon's influence on agriculture and daily life, up to literature and sustainable fashion, with initiatives like swap parties for clothing exchange. A mosaic of themes designed for a curious audience, capable of combining informative rigor with lightness.

Special events and widespread locations

Alongside the library meetings, 13 Lune offers special events that take the review outside its walls: among these, a summer night walk with readings under the stars. The events take place in different locations in the city, from the library to the squares, involving the community in a year-long journey.

Culture accessible to all

Promoted by the Municipal Library in collaboration with the Alboran cooperative, 13 Lune is a free review with reservation. A project that confirms the role of the Pioltello library as a cultural hub for the area, capable of addressing unusual and current topics with an accessible and engaging language.
