MagiaBosco

A theatre among the trees

In Cernusco sul Naviglio, in the province of Milan, MagiaBosco is a theatrical experience that leaves traditional theatres behind to immerse itself in nature. Uboldo Park is transformed into a dreamlike setting where the performance unfolds among trees, paths, and fairytale environments, in a journey that the audience traverses, allowing themselves to be surprised at every step.

Alice in Wonderland

This edition is inspired by Lewis Carroll's famous novel "Alice in Wonderland". The story comes to life through the various locations in the park, in a journey that intertwines the magic of the story with a reflection on environmental themes and climate change. Performances start at regular intervals, accompanying small groups of spectators along the enchanted path.

A community project

MagiaBosco is created by the social cooperative Artaban and involves citizens, music and dance schools, and local associations. Artists, dancers, musicians, and residents participate together in the staging, in a project that uses theatre as a tool for participation and community bonding. The artistic direction is by Arianna Scommegna, Daniela Arrigoni, Chiara Ciaburri, and Giovanni Palazzo.

With this distributed performance, Cernusco sul Naviglio offers an original cultural experience, capable of combining entertainment, art, and environmental awareness. MagiaBosco demonstrates how community theatre can transform a city green space into a place of wonder, enhancing the Martesana territory and its natural heritage.
