The music that unites, in Pioltello
The Festa della Musica is the Italian version of the international event that every June 21st, on the day of the summer solstice, fills the squares of cities large and small with music. In Pioltello, a municipality in the metropolitan area east of Milan in the Metropolitan City of Milan, the festival is celebrated thanks to the Civico Istituto Musicale "G. Puccini" and the Associazione Quattrocentoquaranta, in collaboration with the Municipality.
The Festa della Musica Italia is coordinated nationally: each year it proposes a common theme and hosts hundreds of events across the territory, all free and focused on sharing. The Pioltello event is part of this large mosaic with an evening concert open to everyone.
A free event for the city
The Pioltello edition is artistically curated by the local music institute, an organization that has been enlivening the cultural life of the Municipality for years. The free concert features live swing and jazz sounds, in a festive atmosphere that concludes the solstice day. A simple and popular opportunity to experience live music in public spaces, in the original spirit of the event.
Festa della Musica — edition 2026
The Pioltello leg of the Festa della Musica Italia 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, June 21st, on the day of the summer solstice. The evening is entrusted to the Madamzajj Swinging Band, an orchestral ensemble that brings swing and jazz sounds to life. The free event is curated by the Civico Istituto Musicale "G. Puccini" and the Associazione Quattrocentoquaranta in collaboration with the Municipality of Pioltello.
