Four days of free music in the park for European Music Day
The Festa della Musica Milano at Parco Enrico Forlanini is now a regular fixture at the start of Milanese summer. It takes place in the large park of Municipality 4, in the Forlanini district, on the occasion of European Music Day on June 21st. The 2026 edition is the eighth and confirms the winning formula: four days of free concerts and DJ sets, immersed in the greenery on the outskirts of the city.
The festival is spread across three stages with evocative names — The Wood, The Hill, and The Garden — alongside bar and refreshment areas. The musical programming is intentionally broad, covering practically all genres of dance music and beyond: hip-hop, reggae, drum'n'bass, tech-house, techno, turbofunk, house, pop, electro, psy, trance, goa, EDM, '90s sounds, and Italian Dance Music. International artists, local acts, and emerging talents take turns on stage.
One of the distinctive features of Festa della Musica at Forlanini is the technical care: the sound system is a high-quality Funktion-One, while the laser and light shows are handled by Activ8Sound. The experience aims to combine the dimension of a large outdoor gathering with club-level sound and visual standards, in a natural setting.
Admission is free, in line with the spirit of European Music Day. The festival also promotes an annual environmental awareness campaign that encourages separate waste collection and rewards active participation, to protect the park. An event that brings the great popular music festival to Milan, combining fun, quality, and respect for the environment.
