11 Lune Festival in Peccioli
Every summer, throughout the month of July, the small village of Peccioli, in the province of Pisa, transforms into one of Tuscany's most vibrant cultural hubs thanks to the 11 Lune Festival. Launched in 2005 and reaching its 22nd edition in 2026, the festival offers a rich program ranging from singer-songwriter music to prose theatre, opera to jazz, as well as cultural talks and events dedicated to local archaeology.
The Fonte Mazzola Amphitheatre, a stage among the hills
The beating heart of the festival is the Fonte Mazzola Amphitheatre, inaugurated in 2007 and built using sustainable bio-construction methods. With no curtains or artificial scenery, the structure opens directly onto the rolling landscape, providing a natural backdrop that shifts with the evening light. Some events also take place in other venues across the municipality of Peccioli, such as the Triangolo Verde in Legoli and other local hamlets.
The 2026 edition program
The 2026 lineup, running from July 2nd to 30th, features a stellar cast of major Italian and international stars. Highly anticipated concerts include:
- Daniele Silvestri on July 3rd
- James, the legendary British band, on July 4th for their only Italian summer date
- Francesco Gabbani on July 15th
- Fiorella Mannoia on July 21st
Alongside the concerts, the festival hosts theatre with artists like Stefano Massini and Edoardo Leo, as well as opera and numerous evening shows. The festival also features two well-established events: Le Canzoni del Post, now in its fifth year (July 3rd-4th), born from the musical newsletter of the newspaper Il Post, and Jazz Peccioli, a week dedicated to jazz and the New Orleans Experience, which spreads across the local hamlets and neighboring towns.

The 2026 program is rich and confirmed: singer-songwriter music takes center stage with Daniele Silvestri (July 3rd), James (July 4th, their only Italian summer date), Francesco Gabbani (July 15th), and Fiorella Mannoia (July 21st). There is also room for theatre with Stefano Massini and Edoardo Leo, as well as opera and numerous evening events. Getting there
Peccioli is located in the Valdera area, in the province of Pisa. By car, it can be reached via the SGC FI-PI-LI highway (Pontedera exit), continuing towards Valdera. The nearest train station is Pontedera-Casciana Terme, which is connected to Peccioli by local bus lines. The reference airports are Pisa (Galileo Galilei) and Florence (Amerigo Vespucci).
Tickets
Concert tickets cost an average of 35 euros and can be purchased online at clappit.com and ticketone.it, or at the 11 Lune box office at the Peccioli Tourist Office with no booking fees. For subscribers of Il Post, the evenings of Le Canzoni del Post are available at reduced rates.
