Zuccaland – Festival d'Autunno is the event that, in the weeks around Halloween, transforms the Scaliger Castle in Villafranca di Verona into a charming 'pumpkin garden', immersed in warm autumn tones. The absolute protagonist is the pumpkin, featured in cuisine and decorations, in an event designed for families, children, and fans of the Halloween spirit.
Food, music, and workshops
The festival offers food stalls with pumpkin-based specialties — risottos, gnocchi, desserts, and pies — alongside a sweet food area, a beer & cocktail zone with craft beers and themed drinks, and spaces dedicated to live music and DJ sets. There's also a handmade area with artisan products and creative workshops and face painting for the little ones, with Halloween decorations on October 31st.

With free admission, Zuccaland is now one of the events that liven up autumn in Villafranca di Verona, enhancing the Scaliger Castle as a backdrop and bringing a large audience from all over the Veronese province to the Scaliger village. Villafranca di Verona is about 15 km from Verona. By car: A4 (Sommacampagna exit) or A22 Brennero. Villafranca train station on the Verona–Mantova line, a few minutes from the Scaliger Castle.
