The festival that opens the Villafranca summer
The Villafranca Fest – Beer & Street Food is the big popular festival that, between May and June, enlivens the square at the foot of the Scaligero Castle in Villafranca di Verona for twelve evenings. Now in its 26th edition, it is a classic that kicks off the good season in the plain southwest of Verona, with free admission every evening and a diverse audience, from families to young people.
Music, tributes, and street food
The program alternates evenings dedicated to live music, DJ sets, and tribute bands of great rock and pop artists — from Metallica to Vasco Rossi, from AC/DC to 90s dance music — with activities for children and sports moments. The convivial heart of the event are the food stands and the street food area, open every evening from 7:00 PM, with specialties from all over Italy and a selection of draft beers.
A local event
Organized by City Live together with the Association of Bar Owners of the City of Villafranca, with the patronage of the Municipality of Villafranca di Verona, the Villafranca Fest is an event built from the ground up, which enhances the historic center and its symbolic monument. The free admission and informal format make it one of the most attended events in the province of Verona in the weeks leading up to summer.
Villafranca Fest — edition 2026
The 2026 edition — the 26th — of the Villafranca Fest – Beer & Street Food takes over the square of the Scaligero Castle in Villafranca di Verona from May 22 to June 2, with twelve consecutive evenings of free admission. Every evening, from 7:00 PM, the food stands and street food area open with eight varieties of beer; DJ sets, tribute bands, and moments dedicated to families and sports alternate on stage.

June 2 — Dance Shows + HIGH VOLTAGE (AC/DC tribute)
- Closing evening with dance school performances and an AC/DC tribute.

How to get there
Villafranca di Verona is about 15 km from Verona. By car: A4 motorway (Sommacampagna exit) or A22 Brenner motorway. The Villafranca train station, on the Verona–Mantua line, is a few minutes' walk from the Scaligero Castle.
Admission and hours
Free admission every evening. Food stands and street food area open from 7:00 PM. Concerts and DJ sets in the evening.
