Vini a Palazzo is the food and wine event that serves as a preview to the Acquasparta Renaissance Festival, in the province of Terni. The evening takes place in the cloister of Palazzo Cesi, a splendid 16th-century residence commissioned by the family of Prince Federico Cesi, founder of the Accademia dei Lincei.
The wineries and the districts
The protagonists of the evening are the local wineries, which present their wine production for tasting. Accompanying the glasses are the gastronomic specialties prepared by the three districts of Acquasparta – Ghetto, Porta Vecchia, and San Cristoforo – along with products from local producers, in a journey that enhances the flavors of southern Umbria.
The preview of the Renaissance Festival
Vini a Palazzo is part of the Renaissance Festival calendar and represents a sort of gastronomic start. The setting of the Palazzo Cesi cloister makes the evening an experience that combines taste and the beauty of the place, in one of the villages most linked to the scientific and cultural history of Umbria.
Wines at the Palace — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Vini a Palazzo takes place on Saturday, May 9, in the cloister of Palazzo Cesi in Acquasparta, starting at 6 PM. Fourteen local wineries will present their wine production for tasting.
Accompanying the wines are the gastronomic specialties prepared by the three districts – Ghetto, Porta Vecchia, and San Cristoforo – along with products from local producers. A new feature for the 2026 edition is the musical accompaniment curated by DJ Giuseppe De Florio. The evening serves as a preview to the 27th Renaissance Festival, scheduled from June 6 to 21, 2026.
