About White Night of Choirs

The White Night of Choirs is the major celebration of Puglian choral singing promoted by ARCoPu, the Regional Association of Puglian Choirs. For an entire evening, the historic center transforms into a widespread stage: over 400 choristers from all over Puglia perform among churches, historic halls, and squares, ranging from the collective Open Singing to the grand final Choral Flash Mob. A free event that unites sacred, contemporary, and folk music in an embrace of voices.

The White Night of Choirs in Brindisi

The White Night of Choirs is the signature event of the Puglian choral movement, promoted and organized by ARCoPu — Regional Association of Puglian Choirs APS in collaboration with Feniarco and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Puglia Region. After the first edition hosted in Aradeo, in the Salento area, the event arrives in 2026 in the heart of Brindisi, the capital of the province of the same name, choosing the city's historic center as a grand open-air stage.

A widespread stage among churches and squares

For an entire day, the monumental fabric of Brindisi lights up with voices: from the Francesco Ribezzo Regional Archaeological Museum to the Basilica Cathedral, from the evocative Church of San Giovanni al Sepolcro to the Sala della Colonna, and even the spaces of the former Convent of Santa Chiara. Each venue becomes a music hall where choirs alternate in a repertoire that ranges from sacred polyphony to gospel, and from contemporary music to folk arrangements.

Over 400 voices from all over Puglia

The heart of the event is choral participation: more than 400 choristers from Aradeo, Bari, Brindisi, Lecce, Manduria, Massafra, Mesagne, Taranto, Terlizzi, and many other centers in the region gather to share the pleasure of ensemble singing. The highlight is the Open Singing, the great collective chant that brings all participants together, and the final Choral Flash Mob in Piazza Duomo, when hundreds of voices blend under the evening sky of Brindisi.

A project for the territory

The White Night of Choirs was born as a traveling project designed to showcase a different Puglian city each year, bringing choral culture out of concert halls and into the spaces lived in by the community. The event takes place with the participation of the Municipality of Brindisi and the collaboration of numerous institutional and cultural partners in the area, confirming itself as one of the most attended and heartfelt appointments in the Puglian musical landscape.

White Night of Choirs — edition 2026

The second edition of the White Night of Choirs was held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in the historic center of Brindisi, with over 400 choristers from all over Puglia. A day of widespread singing between the Basilica Cathedral, churches, and squares, culminating in the grand Choral Flash Mob in Piazza Duomo.

The second edition of the White Night of Choirs brought the great Puglian choral festival to Brindisi for the first time, following its debut in Aradeo in 2025. Promoted by ARCoPu with Feniarco and the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Puglia Region, the event transformed the historic center into a widespread stage with over 400 voices. Among the choirs present were the Coro Jubilaeum and the Pueri Cantores Terlicium from Terlizzi, under the direction of maestro Fabio D'Amato and with the accordion of maestro Giuseppe Volpe.
