The food and wine walk dedicated to the wines of Emilia-Romagna
The Wein Tour is the food and wine event that every year, in May, transforms Viale Bovio in Cattolica, on the Romagna Riviera in the Province of Rimini, into a long walk dedicated to wine. Along the avenue, the stalls of over 60 wineries from Emilia-Romagna are lined up, selected to tell the story of the territory through quality, tradition, and innovation. It is one of the benchmark events of the regional enological spring, capable of symbolically uniting the wine-growing hinterland and the Adriatic Sea.
The formula is simple and convivial: admission to the event is free, while those who wish to taste can purchase the tasting kit, which includes a bag, a glass, and five tickets. With the glass in hand, you can freely wander among the wineries, stop to chat with the producers, and sample the local wines, from Sangiovese di Romagna to Lambruscos, from the white wines of Rimini DOC to labels from the Piacenza, Parma, and Bologna hills.
Alongside the stalls, the Wein Tour offers a packed program of masterclasses in the Wein Tour Arena: guided tastings of Emilia-Romagna grape varieties, vertical tastings, comparative analyses, and meetings with producers and experts. These are limited-capacity sessions, with mandatory booking, designed for those who want to deepen their knowledge of the region's wines.
Wine dialogues with cuisine thanks to the collaboration with the association Chef to Chef โ Emilia Romagna Cuochi: quality street food and Romagna specialties revisited by the chefs, also made with fish products from the Casa del Pescatore of Cattolica. Attention to sustainability is part of the event, with the use of compostable materials.
The Wein Tour is promoted by the Comitato Cuore di Cattolica (Cattolica Heart Committee), with the collaboration of the Municipality of Cattolica and the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Founded in 2016, in just a few years it has become a staple of the Riviera's food and wine calendar, capable of building authentic connections between wineries, operators, and visitors, and bringing regional wine culture to the city center.
The 2026 edition of the Wein Tour celebrated the event's tenth anniversary, renamed for the occasion "La Decima". For three days, Viale Bovio transformed into a grand open-air food and wine promenade with 60 wineries from Emilia-Romagna. The six loyal wineries present since the first edition were honored: Cantina Franco Galli, Fattoria Nicolucci, Fondo San Giuseppe, Francesco Bellei, Cantina della Volta, and Enio Ottaviani Vini e Vigneti.
Throughout the event, free tastings at the stalls of the 60 wineries and quality street food by Chef to Chef โ Emilia Romagna Cuochi, featuring Romagna specialties and products from the Casa del Pescatore of Cattolica.
