A Day Dedicated to Marostica's Oil

The Walk Among the Olive Trees is the initiative that celebrates the culture of the olive tree and oil in Marostica, in the province of Vicenza. It is part of a national event promoted by the National Association of Oil Cities, of which Marostica is a member, and offers a themed day to discover local olive cultivation and the area's olive oil specialties.

Among Olive Groves, Oil Mills, and Tastings

The heart of the event is the itinerary through the olive groves of the Marostica hills, marked by dry-stone walls and panoramic views. Along the route, farms and oil mills open their doors to the public, with direct sales, explanations on olive harvesting and oil production, tastings of oil, bread, and typical products, and food and wine menus based on Marostica oil.

Walks, Workshops, and Donkeys

The program includes walks among the olive trees with tastings and experiential workshops, as well as donkey rides accompanied by lunches or tastings. An experience suitable for families and the curious, allowing visitors to experience the Marostica agricultural landscape during a particularly evocative period – the autumn harvest.

Coinciding with the San Simeone Fair

The Walk Among the Olive Trees takes place on the last Sunday of October, coinciding with the Ancient Fair of San Simeone, Marostica's patronal feast. A weekend that combines agricultural tradition, oil culture, and popular celebration in the heart of the city of chess.
