Feltre becomes an open-air stage between circus, theatre, and wonder
Voilà – Festival di Arte di Strada e Circo is one of the most beloved summer events in Feltre (province of Belluno). For a few days at the end of August, the historic centre of the medieval citadel transforms into an open-air stage, where squares, streets, and courtyards become performance spaces for artists from all over Italy and abroad.
The festival offers a rich programme of live performance languages: contemporary circus (acrobatics, juggling, balancing), street theatre, dance, clowning, mime, storytelling, puppet theatre, and aerial performances. The shows, designed for audiences of all ages, follow one another in various parts of the centre—from Piazza Maggiore to Largo Castaldi, and even to the hamlets—creating an atmosphere of wonder and widespread participation.
Promoted by the Municipality of Feltre with the artistic direction of RossoTeatro, Voilà also involves the city's neighbourhoods and hamlets, with almost all shows offering free admission. It is an event that enhances performing arts and public space, transforming Feltre, for a few days, into the capital of street art in the Dolomites.
The 2026 edition of the Voilà Festival animates Feltre from August 28 to 31. The historic centre and hamlets host shows of contemporary circus, street theatre, dance, clowning, mime, storytelling, and aerial performances, with Italian and international artists. The artistic direction is entrusted to RossoTeatro, in collaboration with the Municipality of Feltre, and almost all shows are free.
The festival unfolds over four days, from August 28 to 31, with shows spread across multiple locations in the historic centre (from Piazza Maggiore to Largo Castaldi) and in the hamlets: circus, street theatre, dance, clowning, storytelling, puppet theatre, and aerial performances. The detailed programme, including company names and individual performance times, will be published by the organisers (Municipality of Feltre and RossoTeatro) closer to the event on the official channels and on Visit Feltre.
Feltre (BL) is reachable by train on the Padova–Belluno line and by car from the SS50. The historic centre is pedestrianised: it is advisable to park near the walls.
End of August (August 28–31, 2026).
Almost all shows are free admission.
