A race in the medieval heart of Feltre

The Giro delle Mura Città di Feltre is one of the most evocative running events in the Veneto region. It takes place in the historic centre of Feltre, in the province of Belluno, one of the best-preserved walled towns in the region, at the foot of the Dolomites. The 10 km course embraces the 16th-century walls, Piazza Maggiore, and the frescoed palaces of the village, offering athletes and spectators a setting few other sporting events can boast.

An international evening race

The characteristic that makes this event famous is the evening start: the race is held after dark, with the illuminated walls and monuments serving as a spectacular backdrop. It is an internationally renowned race, with the participation of elite athletes and amateurs from about fifteen nations, making it a classic of the late summer running calendar.

Not just the main race

The programme is divided into several events designed to involve the entire community:

• Classic 10 km competitive race, the heart of the event;
• Sette Giri (The Running Seven Laps), a spectacular circuit race;
• Miglio dei Comuni (Miles of the Municipalities), dedicated to young runners from local municipalities;
• European Firefighters Championship, which brings rescue teams from various European countries to Feltre;
• the Amateurs race, open to runners of all levels.

Alongside the races, the Feltre Urban-Trail takes place in the preceding days, an urban running event featuring climbs and staircases in the town centre. The Giro delle Mura is organised by the Associazione Giro delle Mura - Città di Feltre, in collaboration with the Municipality and local sports organisations in the Belluno area.
