The village festival of Fonzaso
Settembre Fonzasino is the big community festival of Fonzaso, in the province of Belluno, held in the first days of September. For several days, the village comes alive with a rich calendar of initiatives organised by the Pro Loco of Fonzaso APS: convivial dinners, musical evenings, tournaments, sports competitions, and entertainment, largely hosted under the Pro Loco's marquee in the Al Torcio area and in Piazza I Novembre.
Civic festival and patron saint festival
Settembre Fonzasino intertwines the civic and religious aspects: the festival coincides with the patron saint celebrations in honour of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, patron saint of the parish church, celebrated on September 8th. Alongside gastronomic and musical events, there is also a solemn Mass and moments of devotion that have been part of the village's identity for generations.
Dinners under the stars and music
Among the most anticipated events is the "Dinner under the stars" in Piazza I Novembre, accompanied by music, with traditional dishes like cod and polenta. The evenings feature revival music, with one event dedicated to the 80s and another to the 90s, entertainment for children from the afternoon onwards, and the opening of the food stand in the evening. A popular and convivial festival, an authentic expression of Valbelluna at the foot of the Dolomites.
Settembre Fonzasino — edition 2026
For 2026, the Pro Loco of Fonzaso will again host Settembre Fonzasino in the first days of the month, around the patronal feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on September 8th. Based on previous editions, the program includes the Dinner under the stars in Piazza I Novembre, evenings of 80s and 90s revival music, the food stand under the Al Torcio marquee, entertainment for children, tournaments and sports competitions, as well as the solemn Mass and religious moments.

How to get there
Fonzaso is located in the province of Belluno, along the SS47 della Valsugana, near Feltre. By car from the A31 motorway or the SS47; the nearest train station is Feltre, connected by bus to Fonzaso.
Admission
Access to the events is generally free. Dinners and the food stand are paid; some evenings require booking with the Pro Loco.
