Carnival in the heart of Voghera
The Voghera Carnival returns to light up the city center with colors with the event "L'è turnà Buricinèla", which has brought the celebration back to Piazza Duomo. The heart of the event is the parade of floats, accompanied by shows, entertainment, and music that transform the square into a large outdoor party for families and children.
Buricinèla, the city's mask
The symbol of the Voghera Carnival is Buricinèla, the city's traditional mask, who officially opens the festivities. The day alternates performances by dance schools, the arrival of the floats, food stalls with local specialties, and musical entertainment, culminating in a DJ set that closes the party.
A growing celebration
Organized by AMO Voghera together with the associations La Clessidra and Oltreunpo' Teatro with the support of the Municipality of Voghera (Province of Pavia), the event attracts thousands of participants every year, confirming itself as one of the most heartfelt events of the carnival season in the Oltrepò Pavese.
Voghera Carnival — edition 2026
The Voghera Carnival 2026 recorded a record-breaking edition, with Piazza Duomo packed for "L'è turnà Buricinèla". The civic celebrations officially opened at 11:30 AM, when Buricinèla blew the horn to kick off the party; this was followed by performances by dance schools, the opening of food stalls, and at 2:30 PM, the grand parade of floats. The jury awarded the prize to the float "L'Albero dei Valori" (The Tree of Values) by the Istituto Comprensivo Sandro Pertini.
