Autumn scents, flavors, and emotions in the historic center of Pontecurone
Autunniamo is the premier autumn event in Pontecurone, a small town in the province of Alessandria, located in the heart of eastern Piedmont, just a few kilometers from Tortona. Every year at the beginning of October, the village opens its streets and squares to a grand popular festival celebrating "autumn scents, flavors, and emotions," turning the entire historic center into an open-air stage.
What makes Autunniamo unique is its annual theme: for each edition, the Committee chooses a common thread that inspires decorations, set designs, costumes, and performances. Over the years, themes have included "The Fairy Court," "All the Moons," "La belle รpoque," "Ponte Comics," and for 2025, "Lights, Camera, Action!" dedicated to the world of cinema. This ability to reinvent itself makes every event a surprise, staying true to the spirit established in 2008.
Organized by the Autunniamo Committee, the festival is the result of the voluntary work of many local residents and represents a moment of strong cohesion for the community of Pontecurone, the birthplace of Saint Luigi Orione. The event traditionally takes place on the first Sunday of October and is one of the most beloved autumn gatherings in eastern Piedmont, blending tradition, creativity, and hospitality.
Autunniamo is held in the historic center of Pontecurone (AL), in Piedmont. Access to the festival streets is free. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd, and Sunday, October 4th, 2026.
For 2026, Autunniamo celebrates its 17th edition: join us on Saturday, October 3rd, and Sunday, October 4th, in the historic center of Pontecurone, in the province of Alessandria. As per tradition, the festival will feature themed decorations, markets, food stalls with autumn flavors, and performances for all ages.
The theme chosen for 2026 and the full program with times, exhibition spaces, and initiatives have not yet been released by the Autunniamo Committee. This page will be updated as soon as official information is published.
