Legendary vintage FIAT 500s parade through the hairpin turns of the Upper Susa Valley
The Vintage FIAT 500 Rally – Il Cinquino nelle Montagne Olimpiche is a historic motoring event that brings dozens of timeless FIAT 500s to the scenic roads of the Upper Susa Valley every year, passing through the towns that hosted the Turin 2006 Winter Olympics. The initiative is organized by the Valle di Susa Coordination of the Fiat 500 Club Italia, the largest Italian club dedicated to the iconic small car, with the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin.
The rally's starting point rotates annually among the Olympic mountain villages. For the tenth edition, scheduled for Sunday, June 14, 2026, the meeting point is set in Cesana Torinese, a charming village in the Province of Turin and the Piedmont region, at the foot of the Montgenèvre Pass. Only vintage FIAT 500s produced from 1957 to 1977 are eligible, with a limited number of participants to ensure quality and safety along the mountain route.
The heart of the day is the scenic tour Le 500 in Alta Valle Susa, which crosses some of the most beloved spots in the Vialattea area: San Sicario, Champlas du Col, Sestriere, Grangesises, Sauze di Cesana, Rollieres, and Bousson. The route includes stops in Sestriere, in Piazza Agnelli, and in Sauze di Cesana in front of the Town Hall, creating an atmosphere that blends a passion for historic motoring with the charm of alpine landscapes.
Even for those not participating with their own car, the rally is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a unique Sunday in Cesana Torinese: the arrival and the awards ceremony in Piazza del Municipio are the ideal moment to photograph the line-up of 500s and soak in the atmosphere of Italian automotive tradition.
