Weekend among the vineyards and wineries of Friuli Venezia Giulia
Vigneti Aperti is the initiative of the Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia which, from March to October, opens the doors of regional wineries to offer a direct and authentic wine experience. Not just a simple tasting, but an experience among nature, seasons, and encounters with producers: walks among the vines, winery visits, picnics with vineyard views, workshops, and outdoor wellness activities.
The Vigneti Aperti calendar is spread over several weekends throughout the beautiful season, involving wineries in the provinces of Udine, Gorizia, and Trieste. Each winery offers its own formula: guided tastings with the winemaker, trekking among the vines, cycling excursions, picnics, themed lunches, and wellness moments. In the Trieste Karst, land of Malvasia Istriana and Terrano, the experiences take on a special charm, amidst dry stone walls, sinkholes, and sea views. Among the offerings, at Bajta Fattoria Carsica in Sgonico, the original "Yoga, Karst, and Malvasia" event.
Vigneti Aperti is designed for those who want to experience wine in a slow and conscious way, away from the crowds, face-to-face with those who produce it. It is also an opportunity to discover the diverse wine landscapes of Friuli Venezia Giulia, from the Eastern Hills to the Collio Goriziano and the Karst, and to taste the great white wines that have made this region famous worldwide.
Each participating winery offers its own program for the weekend of May 23-24. Among the most common formats:
