The return of Vespaiolona
Vespaiolona is the wine festival celebrating the wines of the DOC Breganze appellation, in the foothills of the province of Vicenza. After a seven-year absence, the event is back to transform the town into a grand, widespread wine night spread across Piazza Mazzini and the local cellars.
A night among the cellars
The star is Vespaiolo, the native white wine of Vicenza — fresh, crisp, and versatile, perfect paired with 'baccalà alla vicentina' (Vicenza-style salt cod) and white asparagus from Bassano — which gives the event its name. With the kit-pass, you gain access to a tasting route: a shuttle connects Piazza Mazzini to the DOC cellars, where you can sample the region's wines, glass in hand.
Taste, music, and territory
Vespaiolona is much more than a tasting: it's a popular festival that combines the pleasure of wine with music and the discovery of the wineries of Breganze. Organized by the Consortium of DOC producers, it promotes an enological heritage made up of small and medium-sized businesses and native grape varieties like Vespaiolo.
Vespaiolona — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Vespaiolona takes place on Friday, June 19, from 7:00 PM to 1:30 AM (bar and music close at 0:30 AM), marking the event's return after a seven-year hiatus. Between Piazza Mazzini and eleven cellars of DOC Breganze, a tasting route of Vespaiolo and local wines, accessible with a kit-pass.

How to get there
Breganze is located in the Vicenza foothills, between Bassano del Grappa and Thiene. By car, you can reach it via the SP111. The meeting point is Piazza Mazzini, from where the shuttle to the cellars departs.
