The Val di Sole Alpine Wildlife Trophy Exhibition is the spring gathering that brings together hunters, wildlife experts, and mountain enthusiasts at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Mezzana, in the heart of Val di Sole, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Also known as the Management Exhibition, the event showcases trophies collected during the recently concluded hunting season and serves as a moment to reflect on the relationship between humans and the alpine environment.

A tradition of Solandra hunting culture

The exhibition is organized by the Gruppo Hubertus Riserve della Valle di Sole, a cultural association active since 1993 that brings together over one hundred members, including hunters and supporters, in collaboration with the Associazione Cacciatori Trentini. The group focuses on hunting culture and is committed to promoting principles that improve the relationship between humans and nature, with a special focus on youth education. Through the examination of the trophies, experts and visitors can analyze the health of the local wildlife, which spans the Brenta, Adamello, and Ortles-Cevedale mountain groups.

What to see

The heart of the exhibition is the collection of alpine wildlife trophies: featuring chamois, as well as roe deer, red deer, and other species typical of the Brenta Dolomites and the Solandra valleys. Alongside the exhibition, the event offers moments of conviviality and entertainment, making it a highly anticipated community gathering in the valley every year.

Typical program

• Friday evening – Inauguration of the exhibition with a show cooking event and tasting of local game.
• Saturday – Opening of the exhibition, air rifle shooting range, and evening entertainment with the traditional Hunters' Ball.
• Sunday – Main day featuring the opening of the exhibition, official greetings, Holy Mass in the parish church, the awarding of the best trophies (male and female categories), the Hunters' Lunch, and the final lottery draw.
