The Lamb Scottadito and Typical Umbrian Products Festival is the iconic festival of Monte Castello di Vibio, a small medieval village in the province of Perugia, known for hosting the Teatro della Concordia, the smallest theater in the world. In 2026, the festival will reach its 45th edition, an historic event that attracts food lovers from all over the Tiber River Valley every year.
Umbrian Traditional Cuisine
The star dish is lamb scottadito, prepared according to the typical and secret local recipe. Alongside it, the food stalls offer a rich traditional menu: duck ragu gnocchi, truffle strangozzi, wild boar pappardelle, fried lamb, pork shank, and other dishes that change nightly. A menu that tells the gastronomic identity of rural Umbria, with intense and genuine flavors.
Music and Dancing Every Evening
The festival is not just about food: every evening the celebration continues with dance orchestras on a large dance floor, accompanied by a Summer Pub with themed evenings. Ten days of festivities that combine dining with entertainment, in the heart of one of Umbria's most charming villages.

The 2026 edition, the forty-fifth, will be held from June 27 to July 5 in the village of Monte Castello di Vibio. The food stalls will offer lamb scottadito and traditional Umbrian dishes every evening, while after dinner, dance orchestras will liven up the dance floor. The detailed schedule of orchestras will be published by the Pro Loco in the days preceding the festival.

The festival runs from June 27 to July 5, 2026, with food stalls open every evening. The menu features lamb scottadito (the specialty prepared according to the secret local recipe), along with duck ragu gnocchi, truffle strangozzi, wild boar pappardelle, fried lamb, and pork shank, with different dishes depending on the evening.
After dinner, every evening, the celebration continues with dance orchestras on a large dance floor, accompanied by a Summer Pub with themed evenings. The detailed music program with the names of the orchestras will be announced by the Pro Loco of Monte Castello di Vibio closer to the event.
