Beer, music, and tractor competitions in Strangolagalli, in the heart of Ciociaria
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Truck Beer Festival is one of the most original events of the Ciociaria summer: four days of festivities, typically held in the last week of August, in the Via La Piana area of Strangolagalli, a hillside village in the province of Frosinone, Lazio. The formula is simple and successful: rivers of beer to taste, food stalls, live music and DJ sets every evening, and above all, the unusual tractor skill competitions that give the festival its unique identity among Italian beer festivals.
Launched in 2023, the festival reached its third edition in 2025, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated events in the area. In just a few years, the event has grown to fill four full evenings, attracting crowds not only from Strangolagalli but from the entire Liri Valley and neighboring Ciociaria towns.
Each edition follows a well-established format:
What sets the Truck Beer Festival apart from other beer festivals are the agricultural skill competitions: the crane test, where contestants must demonstrate pinpoint precision in their maneuvers, and the spectacular reversing with a trailer race, a true test of driving dexterity that draws applause and laughter from the crowd. A playful tribute to the agricultural soul of this corner of Ciociaria, where the tractor is still a daily work companion.
The food stalls offer traditional local dishes and classic village festival specialties, paired with a selection of beers. It is the classic formula of a Ciociaria festival, where you dine outdoors on late summer evenings, amidst music and conviviality.
The Municipality of Strangolagalli, with just over two thousand inhabitants on a hill between the Liri Valley and the Ernici Mountains, is one of the many authentic villages in the province of Frosinone. The festival is the ideal opportunity to discover this corner of Lazio, off the beaten path, about an hour and a half from Rome, where folk traditions and village life retain a genuine flavor.
Following the success of the third edition in 2025, the Truck Beer Festival is expected back in Strangolagalli for the summer of 2026, tentatively in the latter part of August, the period when the event has always taken place. At the moment, the organizers have not yet made the dates official or published the program.
If the formula remains the same, the public will find four evenings of festivities in Via La Piana with beer tastings, food stalls, live music and DJ sets, the briscola tournament with cash prizes, and the unmissable tractor skill competitions — the crane test and reversing with a trailer — which are now the event's trademark. This page will be updated as soon as the official dates and program for the 2026 edition are available.
By car: A1 Rome-Naples motorway, Ceprano exit, then provincial roads towards Strangolagalli (about 15 minutes); from Frosinone, it takes about half an hour. The festival takes place in the Via La Piana area, with parking available near the event site.
The nearest stations are Ceprano-Falvaterra and Frosinone, on the Rome-Cassino line; from there, you must continue by car or taxi.
The peak evenings are on the weekend, featuring the tractor competitions; for the briscola tournament, it is advisable to arrive early for registration. The environment is family-friendly, with inflatable games for children.
