The Centinarola neighborhood festival dedicated to tripe with beans
The Tripe and Beans Festival is the event that enlivens Centinarola every June, a hamlet in the Municipality of Fano, in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the Marche region. For four days, the Via Monfalcone park transforms into a large convivial space where local gastronomic tradition meets music, dancing, and fun for the whole family. The name in the Fano dialect ("dla trippa e di fagioi", meaning "of tripe and beans") clearly conveys the authentic and popular spirit of this event.
The heart of the festival is tripe with beans, a dish from the poor Marche cuisine that is celebrated here in all its variations. Alongside the specialty that gives the festival its name, the food stalls offer artisanal piadine, fresh handmade tagliatelle, grilled meat, and other traditional dishes. The association focuses on promoting short supply chains: the meat is selected by Macelleria Da Pino, the tagliatelle come from Pastificio Montagna, and the piadine are made by Matteo Pennacchini, local artisans.
The evenings of the festival are marked by live shows and concerts: from Latin music to local bands, to the great Romagna-style folk music with dance orchestras. Every evening there are rides and play activities for children, while the program also includes sporting events such as the traditional cycling tour of the hills and the Sunday pasta party. To close the festival, the unmissable fireworks display over the Centinarola sky.
The Tripe and Beans Festival is organized by the 'Viviamo Centinarola Odv-Ets' Association, with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality of Fano. It is not just a gastronomic event: part of the proceeds are donated to charity to support local initiatives. It is an event that combines taste, tradition, and a sense of community, perfect for those who want to discover the most authentic Fano, far from the beaten tourist paths.
The 2026 edition confirms the winning formula of the festival: four days of popular celebration in Centinarola, with tripe and beans as the star alongside other specialties of the Fano tradition. The food stalls are open from Thursday to Sunday, with short supply chain products and local suppliers. Every evening features concerts, dancing, and entertainment, with rides and activities for the little ones. Part of the proceeds, as per the association's tradition, is donated to a local charity cause.
