The youth women's cycling stage race in the heart of the Giudicarie region
The Tre Giorni Giudicarie Dolomiti is one of the premier events in Italian youth women's cycling. Established in 2022 and organized by the Società Ciclistica Storo, a historic club in the municipality of Storo in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), the race spans three days in late June and brings together some of the brightest prospects in Italian cycling every year. The event is reserved for the Donne Juniores (17-18 years old), Allieve (15-16 years old), and Esordienti (13-14 years old) categories, featuring a total of twelve competitive races across the three days.
The format includes three distinct tests designed to reward the most well-rounded cyclist. The first day features the Notturna Castel Romano, a track-style circuit race held at night in the village of Creto, with scratch qualifying and points races. The second day is dedicated to the Crono Idroland, an individual time trial held between the hamlet of Baitoni and the countryside of Storo, in the Lake Idro area, which also awards provincial time trial titles. The third and final day is the Coppa Giudicarie Centrali, a road race starting and finishing in Sesena, Tione di Trento, passing through the territories of Tre Ville and Borgo Lares.
In each category, three distinctive jerseys are awarded: the leader's jersey for the general classification, the best young rider jersey, and the jersey reserved for the best athlete from the Trentino region. The final points classification rewards the most consistent rider over the three days, often keeping the outcome uncertain until the very last stage.
The Tre Giorni Giudicarie Dolomiti highlights the Giudicarie district and the Valle del Chiese, located at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites and just a stone's throw from Lake Idro. The routes wind through mountain villages, countryside, and historic centers, offering challenging paths for young athletes and a high-profile sporting event for spectators. With each passing edition, the race has grown in prestige and aspires to become a true classic of youth women's cycling on the national stage.
The fifth edition of the Tre Giorni Giudicarie Dolomiti took place from June 26 to 28, 2026, in a special season that coincided with the 50th anniversary of the Società Ciclistica Storo. The program followed the established format: Friday the 26th, the Notturna Castel Romano in Creto; Saturday the 27th, the Crono Idroland time trial between Baitoni and the Storo countryside; and Sunday the 28th, the Coppa Giudicarie Centrali with the finish in Tione di Trento.
In the Junior category, victory went to Matilde Rossignoli (Bft Burzoni VO2 Team Pink), who finished with 100 points, just one point ahead of Maddalena Pascut (Team Wilier Breganze), winner of the final stage in Tione. Third place went to Maria Acuti. It was a hard-fought event until the final day, confirming the high technical level reached by the Giudicarie race.
Storo can be reached by car via the SS237 del Caffaro road in the Valle del Chiese, about an hour from Trento and Brescia. The stages take place between Storo, Creto, and Tione di Trento, all within the Giudicarie district.
The races take place on roads and circuits open to the public: spectator access is free of charge along the routes.
Registration is reserved for cycling clubs affiliated with the FCI. For information: Società Ciclistica Storo, tel. +39 347 2767713, official website tregiornigiudicariedolomiti.it.
