The Trasimeno Blues Festival is one of the longest-running blues festivals in Italy, active since 1989. Its formula is that of a travelling festival: the concerts touch several municipalities in the Lake Trasimeno area, in the province of Perugia, including Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Castiglione del Lago, Passignano, Panicale, Città della Pieve, Paciano, and Magione.
The opening stop
In Tuoro sul Trasimeno, the inaugural evening of the festival is traditionally held, kicking off over a week of concerts in the lakeside villages. Stages are set up in squares and spots overlooking the water, and the sunset over Lake Trasimeno often accompanies the start of the music, creating an intimate and evocative atmosphere.

Over the years, Trasimeno Blues has hosted protagonists of international blues, soul, and roots music, alternating established stars with new talent. The festival, organised by Onda Road based in Passignano sul Trasimeno, ranges from electric and acoustic blues to world music and fusions, and is a benchmark for fans of the genre in Umbria and Italy.
Trasimeno Blues — edition 2026
The Tuoro sul Trasimeno evening opens the 2026 edition of the Trasimeno Blues Festival, which runs from July 18 to 26 in the lakeside villages. On July 18, two voices of Chicago blues take the stage: Demetria Taylor and Jimmy Burns, for an opening evening dedicated to roots blues. From here, the festival continues its journey through the other municipalities in the area, from Castiglione del Lago to Passignano and Panicale.

How to get there
Tuoro sul Trasimeno is located on the northern shore of Lake Trasimeno. By car: SS75bis Perugia–Bettolle or A1 motorway (exits Valdichiana or Magione). Tuoro-Navaccia railway station on the Foligno–Terontola line.
