A food and wine walk through the hamlets and vineyards of Masera, in the Ossola Valley
Tourbul is the food and wine walk of Masera, a small town nestled on the sunny slopes of the Ossola Valley, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont. The event features a walking route that winds through the town's hillside hamlets, immersed in vineyards, terraced slopes, and ancient villages, offering a chance to discover the rural Ossola landscape and its farming traditions.
The heart of Tourbul lies in the culinary stops set up along the path: at each station, participants find a different course, ranging from traditional Ossola dishes to local specialties, paired with regional wines. The route touches the hamlets of Bondolo, Menogno, Rivoria, Villa, and Caselli, offering a succession of panoramic views of the valley and charming corners of the villages.
Tourbul was created with a sober and convivial spirit, centered on mindfulness, calm, and the culture of wine and the land. It is neither a race nor a mass event: departures are staggered every half hour to allow everyone to experience the walk at the right pace, enjoying the landscape, conversation, and flavors. It is an event designed for families, friends, and food and wine enthusiasts who want to discover the Ossola region on foot.
The walk is organized by the Pro Loco of Masera together with the Grape Festival Committee, the same groups that bring the historic Grape Festival to life every September, one of the most beloved events in the valley. Tourbul represents the spring soul of this vocation: a way to rediscover the vineyards and flavors of Masera during the season of rebirth, in anticipation of the harvest and autumn celebrations. The bond between the town, its hamlets, and the Ossola food and wine culture is the common thread of the entire day.
The 2026 edition of Tourbul was held on Sunday, May 5, 2026, in Masera, in the Ossola Valley. The food and wine walk saw the participation of about eighty people, who walked through the town's hamlets, stopping at various gourmet stations.

A successful edition, appreciated for its authentic spirit and the promotion of the territory, as confirmed by the local Ossola press.
