On the blues road since 1989, in the heart of the Sienese Valdichiana
The Torrita Blues Festival is one of the longest-running events dedicated to blues in Italy and among the most renowned in Europe. Since 1989, every summer, it transforms Piazza Matteotti, in the historic center of Torrita di Siena, into an open-air stage where Italian artists and international stars of the genre take turns. Organized by the Torrita Blues Cultural Association under the artistic direction of Luca Romani, the festival has become a landmark for enthusiasts who travel every year to this village in the province of Siena, in the heart of the Sienese Valdichiana.
The thirty-eighth edition takes place from June 25th to 27th, 2026, once again in Piazza Matteotti. Three evenings that confirm the event's international vocation, with a program that weaves together big names from the global scene and emerging bands.
Born in 1989, the Torrita Blues Festival has hosted dozens of top-tier performers over the years, building a reputation that places it among the European destinations for blues. The event is supported by the Municipality of Torrita di Siena and the Tuscany Region and is part of the rich calendar of events in the Sienese Valdichiana, proclaimed Tuscan Capital of Culture in 2025.
More than just a concert series, the festival is an opportunity to experience the village: the square fills with the public, food and wine stands offer typical products of the Valdichiana, and the blues provides the soundtrack to warm Tuscan summer evenings. An experience that combines quality music, conviviality, and the discovery of an authentic corner of the province of Siena, just a few kilometers from Montepulciano and the Lake of Montepulciano.
The 2026 edition of the Torrita Blues Festival, the thirty-eighth, takes place from June 25th to 27th in Piazza Matteotti. It starts on Friday, June 25th with the charity Blues Dinner (8:30 PM) supporting the Nottola Hospital, accompanied by the Samba Blues Band, Bad Band, and Dynamo Brothers. Friday, June 26th, "All Blues" night: the Tennessee Rose Duo opens at 9:30 PM, followed by headliner Robben Ford. Grand finale on Saturday, June 27th with the Stefan Hauk Power Trio (9:30 PM) and The Cinelli Brothers (10:30 PM). Free admission concerts.
