Torregrotta Summer, the beating heart of summer in Torregrotta

Every year, between July and August, Torregrotta celebrates its most lively season with Torregrotta Summer, the festival of summer events that fills the squares and public spaces of the town center. Located on the Tyrrhenian coast of the Province of Messina, just a few kilometers from Milazzo and the sea, the town becomes a small open-air stage for several weeks, animated by shows, music, and moments of conviviality.

A varied program for everyone

The Torregrotta Summer program has always been multidisciplinary and designed to engage all age groups. The evenings alternate between concerts and live music, theater and cabaret performances, comedy, and dance, as well as entertainment for families and children. Admission to the events is generally free, in line with the festival's popular, community-focused spirit.

Street food, a highly anticipated event

Among the most popular events of the summer is the street food festival, which in recent editions has brought formats like Etnazar's StraFood to the city: three days of tastings, local specialties, live music, and cabaret in the town center, from Largo Peppino Impastato to the surrounding streets. Fried pizza, pane cunzato, seafood cones, Sicilian cannoli, and local products are accompanied by performances from bands and artists, in a festive atmosphere that attracts a large crowd even from neighboring towns.

A tradition that defines the season

Torregrotta Summer is part of a calendar of initiatives that the Municipality of Torregrotta and local associations promote throughout the year, from the Torregrotta Carnival to summer activities for young people. For the community, it represents an opportunity for meeting and socializing, capable of enhancing the town's squares and offering residents and visitors a summer full of free events in the heart of the Messina coast.
