The roar of tractors and the memory of the land

In Bicinicco, a municipality in the Bassa friulana area of the province of Udine, one of Friuli's most spectacular rural festivals returns every July: the Festa della Trebbiatura. The heart of the event is the grand tractor gathering, one of the most important in the region, which brings together dozens of historical and modern vehicles in tribute to peasant civilization and the work of the land.

Threshing like it used to be

The most anticipated moment is the traditional threshing, recreated with ancient machinery to show the public how wheat was worked in the past. Alongside this are the adrenaline-pumping log pulling competitions (tractor pulling), games, a color run, and many other initiatives that liven up the festival grounds.

Music, food, and volunteering

The festival features food stalls with Friulian specialties and local wines, as well as evenings of live music. All this is made possible by the work of the Gruppo ANA Bicinicco Gris-Cuccana, in collaboration with the Friends of Peasant Civilization and with the patronage of the Municipality of Bicinicco: an example of volunteering that keeps the memory of the territory alive.

In the heart of Bassa friulana

Bicinicco is located in the plain between Udine and Palmanova, in an area where agriculture is still a protagonist. The Festa della Trebbiatura is the way this community celebrates its roots, transforming the work of the fields into a great popular festival open to families and enthusiasts.
