Treasure hunt for children at Castello San Michele in Ossana
The Curse of the Castle is a playful and experiential activity designed for children, taking place at the Castello San Michele in Ossana, in the heart of the Val di Sole, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). An ancient and mysterious curse has fallen upon the old manor: to break it, young visitors must help the Forest Wizard find all the secret ingredients hidden among the halls and walkways of the fortress.
By following a trail of hidden clues, overcoming small skill tests, and tackling engaging games, children become true explorers, discovering the most secret corners of the castle. The experience is fully immersive: fantasy blends with history and legend, offering participants an unforgettable afternoon in an authentic setting. The activity is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 and lasts about an hour and a half.
The event is set in one of the most evocative manors in western Trentino. Castello San Michele stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the village of Ossana and the Noce stream, in a strategic position along the road connecting Trentino to the Valcamonica via the Tonale Pass. Documented as early as the end of the 12th century as a possession of the Prince-Bishopric of Trento, the castle is now owned by the Autonomous Province of Trento, which has overseen its restoration and safety. Its imposing tower and restored spaces offer the perfect setting for a journey through time, amidst ghosts, legends, and medieval history.
